Little Cowgirl

Right now I'm obsessed by the stylish photos of the Armenian-born photographer Van Leo, who lived in Cairo. I love this little girl's butch stance, her back-to-front hat and her outrageous outfit. Perhaps it's not surprising that she grew up to be a famous Egyptian actress called Sherihan.

Great! She's got a great attitude. I don't know the adult actress. Maybe should look her up...

You sure do come up with interesting things for your blog. :)

Another slightly sinister image. When was this taken? looks like 1970s. I will try and find out more about this photographer.

The photo was taken in the 1970s. It's definitely worth googling Van Leo's photos. He made a lot of his best stuff before the 1952 revolution: very glamourous, very sophisticated!
