Because you can expect the unexpected. Because there are always treasures to be found if you only have the eyes to spot them. Take, for instance, these Dutch dolls, whom I encountered this week on Amsterdam's Waterlooplein. If you're wondering whether I bought any of them, I didn't. The reason was that I couldn't bear to break up a happy family.

Lovely. Markets are like spontaneous museums. I love them, too. Finally realized this is why I love second hand shopping. And I love dolls!
