In the Shadow of the Louvre

A rainy day at a detective agency opposite the Louvre in Paris. I imagine Monsieur Duluc heading towards the museum where a body has been found beneath the all-knowing eyes of the Mona Lisa...

It was one of those days in Paris. A torrential downpour rattled the roof of Duluc's car when he pulled up at the monumental entrance to the appartment block. He braced himself against the elements and hurried past the carpet seller on the corner. The brightly lit shop window stood out against the darkened sky. His thoughts raced over the panic-stricken message he received from his client, a female photographer living on the upper floor of the building."Come over now, he is here, at the door!" she whispered in the telephone.

Where are you, M. Duluc? He's breaking down the door!
