Eyes of War

Martin Roemers' "Eyes of War" contains extraordinary photographic portraits of people, who have lost their sight through armed conflict. I was also involved with this project, and was responsible for the English translation of the victims' life stories, which range from triumph over adversity to utter dispair. What I'm most proud of here is helping to communicate these experiences to a wider audience and hopefully generations to come.

Sounds like a really worthwhile project to have worked on, Annie. I have to get a copy of this - thanks!

It makes you realize that a war may end but its consequences reach far beyond.
